400 miles in 4 days. Would we accomplish such a feat and still be speaking to one another at the end of the road? What about weight & ride handicapping, how much did people carry for other people, after all? Would we be ready to accept the dangers of the UP? Would the UP be prepared to face the Gogebic 6? Would our families be willing to drive 400 miles in order to meet us at Jack's Cabin? We searched for the answers to these questions and so much more.

OK, I'll be first to post...what a treat to read about your adventure..yes, I'm jealous. I hope I get to see the Zaccarino-Crowe compound before too long - Ellie and I know that North Country paradise..she's on a two-night in a wilderness tent/canoe camping trip out of Ely - women only..I get to go later this month. We had a family camping/canoe experience in Sylvania a few yesrs ago. Thanks for sharing the story of your trip..well done. BOB
